Genelec 8000 Series Accessories: Genelec has posted an announcement on their website with correct USA-specific 8000 accessories from both Genelec and third party manufacturers. This is to clear up confusioin with their international website which serves Europe and other non-USA areas.
Warranty Info
The following contains very important warranty information for purchases made in the United States.
Our products are supplied with a one-year guarantee against manufacturing faults or defects that might alter the performance of the speaker. Refer to supplier for full sales and guarantee terms.
Additionally, all new Genelec Active Monitoring products bought via non-authorized U.S. as well as international internet business channels will be void of the applicable U.S. warranty.
For a warranty to be registered with Genelec Inc., the warranty card must be accompanied with a copy of the original sales receipt from an Authorized Genelec Active Monitor Dealer. Genelec Inc. will not accept the misrepresentation of their product by unauthorized dealers. If in doubt about the representation of a given dealer, feel free to contact Genelec Inc. for verification.
Troubleshooting
Occasionally things don't work as anticipated. Because all Genelec active monitors are complete systems made up of electronics as well as drivers it makes sense to do a little trouble-shooting before calling and simply saying "my speaker is broken". Click Here to review a list of possible problems along with some associated causes as well as suggested solutions. When in doubt, of course call us first.
Return Procedures
If for any reason you need to obtain service for your Genelec product, please contact us at 508-652-0900 or e-mail service.usa@genelec.com for a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. Be sure to have the product model and serial number available when you call. The serial number can be found on the barcode label located on the back of the speaker.
Before requesting service please check our troubleshooting section. In some instances the problem can be traced to a source other than the speaker. Taking a few minutes to do some basic troubleshooting will assist us in diagnosing your problem when you call.
Packing
Your Genelec monitors are precision instruments and contain sensitive electronic components. Therefore, all returns must be properly packed using the original factory packing. If you no longer have the original carton we can provide new packing material for a nominal charge. Please be aware that using non-factory packing can result in damage and void your warranty.
